Review on “Effect of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and vitamin D3 levels on the pathological complete response after neoadjuvant treatment in TNBC and HER2-positive early breast cancer – results of a prospective study”

This study evaluated the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) as a predictive biomarker for the pathological complete response (pCR) to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) in breast cancer patient with TNBC and HER2-positve breast cancer. No correlation between NLR and pCR was found, although the results are not statistically significant. The reported data are of a potential interest, considered that multiple studies have demonstrated a correlation between NLR and pCR to NACT in breast cancer patients. The manuscript is well structured and written in a good English. With minor revision it will be ready for publication.

Key words and list of abbreviations needs to be included.

ROC curve needs to be presented.

The limitations of the study could be included in the conclusions.
